PvP
hi guys,
Well like the title says, I have a question about the PvP in this game.
I don't know for sure if this is the right place, but it's general game discussion so... I guess i'm right ^^
Well the question is quite simple, what exactly is the PvP?
I used guild wiki, but I didn't have much about it...
So can you guys help me out and just tell me everything you know about PvP and your own experience...
Do I have to make a special PvP account? Or can i just play PvP with my PvE character...

Don't lie, why do you lie like that, you liar?
Read the manual and wiki, there's everything you need to start playing PvP.

If you can't understand this: http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Player_versus_Player, you are beyond hope.

About 3+ years. You are welcome.
What else were you expecting? You want character tips, go look around the forums and view the PvP forums. This is general discussion.

If you want to give it a try yourself, you just have to make a new character but make it a PvP - not role-playing - character. Straight from there you'll have access to Random Arenas and Team Arenas.
The first, simply dubbed RA, is as it sounds: two teams of randomly selected players duke it out, four on each side. Objectives are always "whoop the other teams' ass", although sometimes they add a bit of variety to it. TA (Team Arenas) is the same thing, but players get to group up instead of having to go in random.
In Factions, you get access to quite a few different types of PvP. The most notable are Alliance Battles: huge scale conflicts of 12v12 action (split up into three groups of four players on each side). Capture resource points and kill any player that gets in your way. Two of the other notable PvP options are Fort Aspenwood and Jade Quarry, but the Wiki is going to give you a better definition of that than I.
In Nightfall you get access to Hero Battles: you and three customizable AI party members go against other players with heroes. Combat in this arena is centralized around a small map with capture points.
---
Starting out in PvP will be a bit tough. You're gonna be stuck with only one build and a few skills for each profession, and those starting builds aren't too good. I'd look around these forums and the PvX Wiki to give you a better idea of what you should be aiming for with your Balthazar Faction (essentially PvP-only currency to buy upgrades and other unlocks.

My PvP experience when I use my PvE character was (3 years ago), YOU ARE A NOOB. YOU ARE A BAD PLAYER, YOU SHOULD UNINSTALL THE GAME
the advise is, DO NOT use your PvE character for PvP if you do not have all the "good skills, max armour, max dmg weapons, many sets for different needs, max properly inserted runes" unlocked on that PvE character. Otherwise, you're just gonna have really bad experience and never want to play in PvP again.

Sadly, the only way to get all those good skills is either A. Not playing PvP, or B. Having to "stick with it" and rack up Balth. faction in order to buy the good stuffs.
Or C. Just purchase unlock packs, but I personally think that everyone should have everything unlock anyways.

They have the potential to be awesome, the Kurzicks just need to l2p ; )
You are right, though, since AB's are one of the largest concentrations of bad players. But I still consider the most fun you can have "casually" with PvP in GW.

I play to just unlock stuff lol. I think if I had everything done I'd get bored. Not so hard to get skills either. Just ditch the zkey obsession.
